Depression

Her body wrapped in darkness,
trying to migrate to the light.
Such a frail little body,
still trying to fight.
Shattered into pieces,
trying to tether what's left.
Bounded by the ropes of insanity,
screaming, "life was never fair!"
Whispering echos
passed through the trees
Located in the forest of despair
begging the spirits for leniency
As they all
just vacantly stare

Author's Note
Going through a lot mentally not knowing which way is up or down. Trying to find a path I never knew I'd be on. Asking the spirits and God to save me from my own insanity. Growth is painful and writing is my way of expression.
