Little Doe

Oh, little doe,
I see how you struggle.
So refective of my own.

I wish I could do more.
I wish I could protect you.
I want to save you.

Oh, little doe,
beware of sharp teeth
as the bite of a wolf is unforgiving.

I do my best to warn you,
but it's from sharp teeth
the warnings come.

Oh, little doe,
I hope you do not suffer
this same fate of mine.

I do my best,
but sometimes my jaw aches,
to close on soft limbs.

Oh, little doe,
you are as kind as you are soft.
Please remain so, despite.
