Roam

Beneath the fractures and fissures of my heart's truth
Preserved in my earth are the fossils of you.
From the age when you roamed me.
To a blissful echo of groans and screams.
Do we ever truly understand
the hearts archeology?
Requires belief in things you cannot see.
Buried marrow deep inside of me.
From the age when you roamed free.

Now I roam an earth on fire with
red, orange & yellow trees.
Candy apple red, burgundy and blood that beats.
Lemon yellow, rust and tangerine.
My eyes with a secret gleam.
To know a part of you remains with me.
