distant bells
caroling carillon
carrying carrion
water the deep
on this holy day
a day of rest for
six days of labor
to give birth to
a new mindset
we will name her
hera, goddess of the hearth
borne out of mind and substance
the warmth of thought embers
engineers a path

I LOVE this. Wasn't sure at first that I would, but the more I read the deeper I fell. Being Hera is associated with the lotus flower, she's perfect for this verse and the possibilities of new being born from time past.
