Love Falls
Her beauty was captivating,
sweet of heart, flustered
within shades of hazel
searching still luster.
Lost in the tides, adrift
vacant stare of sadness
walking lovelorn shadows
on mystic nights.
She was perfect
the other half of me
pertinent like sunlight shafts
on a summer breeze.
Late nights talking
turning from passion to pain
passing moments walking
under drizzles of rain.
Her skin, caramel candy brown
eyes, the color of desert sands
Puerto Rican, sultry- always around
yet often sad.
Still, conversing to steal a smile
with my soul's intent
I nourished the broken rose
as I kissed her lips.
Every word from her mouth
poured like diamonds
firebird rising
blinded to her ways throughout.
I stare at moonlit streams
agaze, the still of Autumn
thinking of her tonight
in shades of beauty.
