Escaping Reality
I looked at the wall
How scary it is it never fades
Tons of spiders and tons of rats
Definitely everything I’d ever fear
I scream and I ran
Shirked as I yell
There’s no one here I’m all alone
I ran and ran
In the opposite direction
Hoping I could find some peace
But then comes another wall
taller and bigger
Spiders and rats proportionate to its size
I cried and cried
There’s no one here to help
I ran and ran
But only in circles
Every turn comes something scarier
Every escape was my biggest mistake
There’s no escaping to things you must face
And I’m not talking about spiders or rats here
How scary it is it never fades
Tons of spiders and tons of rats
Definitely everything I’d ever fear
I scream and I ran
Shirked as I yell
There’s no one here I’m all alone
I ran and ran
In the opposite direction
Hoping I could find some peace
But then comes another wall
taller and bigger
Spiders and rats proportionate to its size
I cried and cried
There’s no one here to help
I ran and ran
But only in circles
Every turn comes something scarier
Every escape was my biggest mistake
There’s no escaping to things you must face
And I’m not talking about spiders or rats here
