Waves of Longing
I have a heart,
Tattered by hope and reason’s sway,
I have a heart,
That wanders at dawn’s first light,
And this heart,
Sheds its armor at the sound of your voice,
Poor heart,
That can’t grasp its sanity.
I wish I were a wave,
To dance upon your shore,
And leave trails of love,
Wherever I explore,
(I breath)
To spend the night awake,
Drenched in you.
A wave,
To weave coral around your waist,
And trace the shapes of love,
Beneath the moon’s embrace,
(I breath)
To quench this wild desire,
Drenched in you.
Sing, oh heart,
With an anchor of dreams that never fade,
Dream, oh heart,
Don’t cloud yourself with sorrow,
(I breath)
And this heart,
Sheds its armor at the sound of your voice,
Poor heart,
That can’t grasp its sanity.
I wish I were a wave,
To dance upon your shore,
And leave trails of love,
Wherever I explore,
(I breath)
To spend the night awake,
Drenched in you.
A wave,
To weave coral around your waist,
And trace the shapes of love,
Beneath the moon’s embrace,
(I breath)
To quench this wild desire,
Drenched in you.
A night,
To dive deep until the end,
Face to face, kiss to kiss,
And live forever,
Drenched in you.
I wish I were a wave,
To dance upon your shore,
And leave trails of love,
Wherever I explore,
(I breath)
To spend the night awake,
Drenched in you.
A wave,
To weave coral around your waist,
And trace the shapes of love,
Beneath the moon’s embrace,
(I dream)
To quench this wild desire,
Drenched in you.
Tattered by hope and reason’s sway,
