they all had “vote for me” buttons
except for one entry
didn’t seem fair
so I didn’t vote…..

A comp will go to vote if the host requests it or if it falls on our abandoned comp list after a time period of a winner not being chosen by the host. If any of the posts are marked as a non-entry, it is for a few reasons: it is conversation that isn't actually an entry, it is an entry by a deactivated member which would not get assigned a win anyway, or it is an entry posted by the comp host, which is not eligible for the host to win their own competition, or is an invalid entry that did not adhere to the rules of that particular comp.

Yes, understand all that. It was my entry and guess it wasn’t right or something? I guess the host didn’t deem it worthy of an entry? No biggie.

The host isn't able to mark entries as such, only mods. Did you deactivate your account at any point? If so, then any entries from a deactivated account say "submission no longer present" and the poster's avatar says "Deactivated member" under it. The actual piece of writing doesn't show up when this happens, so we have to mark is as "non entry" because there's nothing there.
Also, if you submitted an entry into any comp, and the comp goes to vote, you don't have the option to vote for your own entry, only the others in the comp. It's just the way the website configuration is, to prevent voting for oneself.
