loving who you present
and who you secret away
under the cover of darkness, you don't reveal
I wonder if this makes you as lonely as me

hidden thoughts the world views as off-topic
is there room for the reality of things
since we are forced to wear these fictitious costumes

mine doesn't fit properly and anger burned mine right off
I feel claustrophobic wearing mine
bare in the world feels much better

my darkness rises and becomes the air around me
it says we were wondering
how long you were going to pretend to be human

I utter I really wanted the human experience
but I don't fit in and the reality is I don't know how they do it
a solitary existence seems very lonely

I feel free to swim in the communal pool of thought
you guys must have thought I looked silly
be nice to the humans I like
and don't be too hard on them I must seem strange'

it is an odd way to live without the help of your others
I sincerely thought I might discover a likeness
but sadly I found some vessels were empty

where the souls went I don't know
perhaps they just couldn't take anymore and left
the big question is how and why

the moonbuttons told me some were without soul
still I was surprised we shall have to research this further
