The Bruised Sun Sets
The Sun punched the Sky
Left an orange-yellow bruise
We stood beneath the pain
Purple ruptured Dusk
The Sea all green and Red
Horizon distant blue
Rooks peck at the debris
Left by the evening tide
We left to catch a film
She looked across the dark
Smiled as if she smelt a rose
Flickering tigress eyes
For a frame
We were lost gods
In the dark between the stars
