maybe
reading your emotions I reach in to caress you
then I pull back
it's too personal what you're feeling and I don't wish to invade
we know each other so well
our hurts intertwined
your eyes can hide nothing
I feel your deep seeded hurt
you're thinking of telling me goodbye
strangling tears that start to fall
your quiet need tells me be strong
loving me is hell but letting go is worse
I feel when you come in close
I feel you when you pull back
I always give you your distance
I am intense and can feel you deeply
loving me means that sometimes you get lost in my labyrinth
holding your desires closely
I offer you my soul choosing to love no matter what
the loneliness of the mind is life-altering
I want for you the fullness of being
a woman of hope to bring you happiness
I come in close one last time and your heart is breaking
I just wasn't ready in this life for a soulmate
the truth of it washes over me
maybe an apartment next door with a friend....maybe
then I pull back
it's too personal what you're feeling and I don't wish to invade
we know each other so well
our hurts intertwined
your eyes can hide nothing
I feel your deep seeded hurt
you're thinking of telling me goodbye
