Image for the poem serenade

serenade

sleeping in the ethereal sanctity
you collect my dreams
making manifest my sweetest of souls

caressing darkness you shine
with thoughts of eternity
I've missed your face

troubling the waters I found you anew
flowing through time you look for me
in anguish you search

just to find me lonely in the misty moors
where starlight watched my ache
singing to me until your return

my lover over faith
I willed long ago to say goodbye to the sun
my honor in your hands
a victim of fate
you were taken too soon

sorrow witness my heartbreak
and cruelly you walk the centuries
looking in the lost faces
hoping for a spark of recognition

hidden in memories keep
I slept a thousand years
held captive by regret

sincerely keening my loves of loves
coldly death never claim me
still of breath I was cold to the touch

troubling your midnight watch
bound by disgrace
my anguished soul came to you

without recognition. my memories lost in the sea of forgetfulness
there my love are all the tears I shed without you
diamonds for you to collect

take me now as your eternal bride
and we will rise as supernovas
beautiful mysteries of the dark united
