Darling Janet and I had loved each other for over fifty years. It was heartbreaking to watch her slow decline as that cruel illness sucked away her life.
She had been, incidentally, a very successful academic at the university with an international reputation for her knowledge and expertise. She is widely missed.

A professor I knew named Patty just passed away Aug 01. I think of all the lives that she must've touched through her academic career.
