Welcome to hippocampus
The slight raise
of an eyebrow
head gradually
tilting to the right,
i've been wearing
it since eleven
years of age
and the truth
is nobody ever
knows what's
happening,
lately i've been
less conversation
more draining out
disappointments
into my local
swimming pool
because my
hippocampus
isn't tolerating
discourses in
nonsense.

You weave spider web poems. Every strand necessary, and nothing unnecessary. It's sparse, meaningful and gripping.
The opening disdain, the way you physically show listening to some bullshit without much tell -- or at least without tells that nonreceptive folks wouldn't pick up. Then the way you refuse to let memory be corrupted by said bullshit.

I reread this piece about 3 or 4 times, before it clicked. A personal sign of a wonderful poem. It's deeply relatable. And just WOW. So good
