Tripping Under the Bed

I don’t want to ever wake up
Because it’s warm in here
And it’s cold out there,
But don’t look into my eyes
Or you might get scared
Because the truth of what’s out there
Is hidden here

The cold of the core
And the vibes that we store
Are what reminds us that there’s a room
And more
But here in the good
God answers our prayers
And tears we don’t wipe make us glow even more
And the pain is from smiling with no chains to before

I could stay here forever with sparkling
Warm
You
In our whimsical world
With a purple-pink hue
But as we came in, so must we leave
What remains are the memories
And things that we said
Maybe someday we’ll go back
To tripping under the bed.

I love how well this poem describes the feelings of the moment. It might not make a lot of sense, but everyone who was there knows exactly what it’s talking about lmao
