Sound of my Heart

I read it again and again
I see every word
Hear every phrase
Yet these are not
The sounds of my heart

There are so many words
To describe my emotions
Yet every word I try to use
Doesn't quite fit the puzzle
Like a false note in a melody

I try and I try
To dig deeper within me
And find the right words
Write what I'm feeling
Like looking for a silent whisper

I am nothing
But a mere human
Looking for the right path
That will lead me
To the depth of my soul

And there, deep inside
I shall hear the song
That carries the meaning
Of my heart
And then ink to paper, I shall write
