Crow
What would I say to you?
My beloved.
That would carpet your fall
In heaps of thread
In heaps of fabric
That shimmer red.
Your thoughts
They move like crows
Deliberate watching
Cunning waiting
Bold with initiative
Fowl ingenuity
Anyhoo
There on the carpet
lies
What is not human
Feathered around
the outline
Of hope
Green motives brightly
Spray through the black
What would I do
To carpet it?
My manipulation
My temptation
To lace your ankles
with a Jesse
Would never overreach
Your wing
Sew with words
My beloved.
Discords of ambiguity
So my pearls are not cast
Before swine.
But threaded beneath a talon
That harvests a pile
Worthy of bearing your weight
Anyhoo
I shrug my shoulders
Of all of it.
I shrug red shiny glints
Into the fiber
And..
Behind a glass door
I watch you
Land
My beloved.
That would carpet your fall
In heaps of thread
In heaps of fabric
That shimmer red.
Your thoughts
They move like crows
Deliberate watching
Cunning waiting
Bold with initiative
Fowl ingenuity

There on the carpet
