Loving You
I wonder what it's like
To wake up at your side
My hand on your chest
My face nested
At the crook of your neck
Countless times
Have I imagined myself
Propped up on your lap
Your hands, gentle and strong
Circling my waist
Maybe it's a good thing
That we won't see each other
After this night is over
Cause I can't handle seeing
Someone else by your side
I'm sick and tired of writing
All these poems about you
Yet I can't bring myself
To reach my hand out to you
And show you my heart
To wake up at your side
My hand on your chest
My face nested
At the crook of your neck
Countless times
Have I imagined myself
Propped up on your lap
Your hands, gentle and strong
Circling my waist
Maybe it's a good thing
That we won't see each other
After this night is over
Cause I can't handle seeing
Someone else by your side
I'm sick and tired of writing
All these poems about you
Yet I can't bring myself
To reach my hand out to you
And show you my heart
