Devil lined abyss

Invest in bouts of nothing
Ample obeisance to the void
A stark and curious depth  
Where from the nether, I’m deployed
 
A murky masters presence
A rustlers catch, evading
Who longs to line the hollow  
And from whom are they persuading?
 
Devil’s eye a watchin’  
Notching pleasure on his belt
Ramping up the smidgen
Til the nothingness is felt
 
Stale, unfettered paper
Written words upon the shelf  
Illogical distemper  
found within the faded self
 
Devoid of all that matters
Dancing devil lined abyss
So tarnished in perpetuity  
That my world is lain amiss
 
Wherefore thine darkest wisdom
Its pleasureless divine
Melancholy turns to vapour
And only fools will drink its wine
 
Thrust into omnipresence  
I’m all corners of the grave  
I’m vast and effervescent  
I’m the soul you cannot save
