Sincerely, Past Twilight
Sincerely, past twilight where the shadows grow
frost upon the stones where night woo crows
cold as the bunions on death's rigor mortis
beneath the anchovies echoing the tortoise
listening to the calling of the twilight's mustache
mired in the epitaph of my woolsy potash calabash
buried with denizens of night as I stoop and pray
unraveling the gospels as I fray with decay ...
sincerely, past twilight goin' to get me a gun
and then, shoot off my tongue
frost upon the stones where night woo crows
cold as the bunions on death's rigor mortis
beneath the anchovies echoing the tortoise
listening to the calling of the twilight's mustache
mired in the epitaph of my woolsy potash calabash
buried with denizens of night as I stoop and pray
unraveling the gospels as I fray with decay ...
sincerely, past twilight goin' to get me a gun
and then, shoot off my tongue
