Aspiring Apathy
I took the drive up
Mulberry Lane
Letting my mind drift
While I cursed your name
I saw your evil, yet
A sight to behold
Thinking thoughts that uplift
To erase your stranglehold
While the night went on
I ran for the hills
Brandished my glass
And gave you the chills
Realizing life is finite
Purpose seems hollow
Let it be an empty night
As I outrun the sorrow
