Creole Negra

Creole woman.
She’s like sugar and spice,
Made up of everything naughty
and red beans and rice.
If you think about pursuing her,
I hope that you can dance.
Because if you can’t zydeco baby,
you haven’t got a chance.
She’s a beauty of mixed culture,
she speaks a little spanish,
a little french too.
But tread carefully,
cos she might know voodoo.
She knows a lot of tricks in bed,
she sucks more than just crawfish heads.
She can burn in the kitchen!
That means she can cook,
she’s one of a kind,
she’s more than just her good looks.
She cooks and she cleans.
She’s a good mother to them babies,
but know her mama didn’t raise no fool!
Yeah, Louisiana made her,
but her daddy showed her how to use that tool!
That’s right, she ain’t gonna play no victim.
She will fight you tooth and nail,
that creole negra
she is everything,
she’s heaven and hell.

Author's Note
Louisiana homegrown. This is sort a self poem, as I am a proud Louisianan. Brought up by mixed parents and the creole culture. Just for shits and giggles but so much truth. Love always,
