I Was Never Here
Maybe you thought you saw me
But I was never here at all
Perhaps all I've ever really been
Is some writing on the wall
An echo of pain bouncing around
Looking for an escape
Trauma and sorrow from deep in the void
Briefly able to take shape
A disembodied voice you might have heard
A whisper that came from the dark
Passing through these halls unseen
While barely leaving a mark
Quickly forgotten and written off
As nothing more than a trick of the mind
Fading away with the passing of time
No residuals left behind
I was never here, so dont feel bad
If the memory starts to fade
Theres no reason for you to mourn a loss
No cause to be dismayed
But I was never here at all
Perhaps all I've ever really been
Is some writing on the wall
An echo of pain bouncing around
Looking for an escape
Trauma and sorrow from deep in the void
Briefly able to take shape
A disembodied voice you might have heard
A whisper that came from the dark
Passing through these halls unseen
While barely leaving a mark
Quickly forgotten and written off
As nothing more than a trick of the mind
Fading away with the passing of time
No residuals left behind
I was never here, so dont feel bad
If the memory starts to fade
Theres no reason for you to mourn a loss
No cause to be dismayed
