Full disclosure: I was never in the military. Just got done watching 'Full Metal Jacket ' and was fascinated with the term. Did a little digging and found out it also applies to government subsidized housing. What a strange coincidence.

This hit hard because I know how veterans in our country are suffering. It's an utter disgrace.
I don't know how the elderly and those on disability survive. Landlords are outrageous right now. I've seen small, dilapidated trailers advertised for 1,200 a month! Then they keep raising the rent to get you out and someone who can pay more in. I am so blessed to have a good landlord and nice jobs that I love doing. I never wanted a mansion, just to be comfortable with enough to pay my bills and provide for my family.
