Flown?

Last night my dream
Found another absence
The Phoenix on my arm
Had taken flight
Gone the fire, gone my Sun
Gone my compass heart
Left alone the burn scar
To mar
The now empty canvas
It was merely a dream
For when I woke
The symbols of my hope remained
Or was it
Just a dream?
Does my Sun remain?
Will you kiss these flaming wings someday?
Or like those colors in my dream
Are you gone
Forever flown away?
