I'm nobody's savior
some days I can barely save myself
but sometimes all it takes
is someone to hold your hand

just sit beside you in silence while you cry it out
because there's strength to be found
in compassion...even lacking true comprehension

every heart understands pain
regardless of the source

we all know how a heart can sometimes hurt
the weight of silence...
...borne alone...
...is so much heavier
than sharing the moment with a selfless shoulder

someone who helps lift the load
just long enough to get back up
& carry it on your own

anyone else feel like a good hug...
