A Conversation on the Origins of the Universe

How could something come from nothing?

What?

The universe; How could everything around us come from nothing?

Why do you care so much?

Well it’s just, I wanna know more.

Like what?

Well if at some point in time there wasn’t even time, can we truly call it the beginning? And if we can’t, what do we call it? How long was it like that, or can it even be measured. Was it like a vacuum? Or some sort of nothingness we cannot even comprehend, as there was nothing there to comprehend it. What created this world?

God maybe?

Maybe..

You don’t seem happy with my answer.

Sorry.. It just feels too simple..

I always thought God created everything, and I like that it’s simple.

But why? And how long did it take Him to start?

It doesn’t really matter to me, it just gives me some hope.

I wish I had hope.

You could, if you wanted to.

I wish I wanted to.
