Didn’t realize I would take this the way I am
Maybe it’s because the change happened so quickly
Keep on thinking what I did
I had to have done something to lose what was there
One-Eighty
Flipped up and switched
Guess that’s my down fall…
I’m open and honest so I expect others to be as well
I hate being a pawn in someone’s game
I don’t get why the games even need to be played
If we were all just as straight up,
As “real” as we preach that we are
Relationships would be so much easier

The words that we speak
Don’t add up with the thoughts
I always could tell there was more
But your confidence in me wasn’t enough
I was ready
Ready to change it all
If only you were as well
