You Don't Get to See

It isn't a long time but time wasted is that.  We were supposed to move in together June and he just bails.  I know it wasn't a 10 year marriage, but it's painful.

Thank you and I mean that because comments like this put a smile on my face.

I'm glad they don't get to see because for one, they don't deserve to & two, they are blind! 😊

This comment as well, is kind and clever and gives me those nudges to continue on my journey to move on from this.

I know this feeling well. My GF at the time many years ago announced she wanted to break up after a year and a half.  I thought we would get married.  We worked in the same building so I ran into her a lot.  I know your pain.  Feel ya ....

Thank you.  I agree there isn't a time limit, the good thing is my best friend and my sister aren't letting me sulk.  Though they have told me to stop with the "sad poetry shit".

I have no RLs to give. Sigh.

And hey, you write whatever you want to, especially if it's as good as this one. The first stanza is killer. And the rest does not let down at all.
 Writing is therapy. We all suffer with you too.  Let it out.

I’ve started and deleted my response to this piece so many times I’ve lost track. I’m falling short on being able to express how I have related to this very subject in almost the exact same ways. Uncanny, comes to mind. But heartbroken for your pain is mostly what stands out because I’m familiar with it. Only writing as poignant and heartfelt can illicit such visceral responses and this is one if them. Great writing. H🌷
