Etched Deep - with Grace

Stones witness an encounter in conversation
of spirits whispering as the trees of Autumn
shed memories falling dancing in harmony  
where the sea of tides divides insanity from
reality holding hands of dark's inuendoes
locked in an embrace before walking away

Silhouettes of lovers in embrace
against a sky of dark ember
soul searching with bruised hearts
yesteryear's hurts simplified
in a poem recited repeatedly
scratched into walls of memory
parting words etched deep
