I am a sentimental man broken down to tears

I get down on my knees to pray for you… that God brings you closer to me
I get down on my knees with my eyes closed hoping that when I open them you are here
I get down on my knees to wrap my arms around you… to hold you like I will never again

When I am with you… I am wishing to freeze time to treasure the moments with you
When I am with you… I want to kiss you for every second we share together
When I am with you… I want to spend my time holding, never letting go of you
When I am with you… I am thinking… will you let me spend the rest of my life loving you

When I am laying in darkness… I am painting the darkness with portraits of you
When I am laying in darkness… I am listening to sweet melodies that lead my mind to you
When I am laying in darkness… I am hoping that I feel your touch as I ache deeply for it

I bury my face into the pillow… so that the pillow will soak up my tears
