Ocean Meditation
Salt water, crashing waves,
Birds soaring through the mist,
Vanishing into the unknown,
Beyond the edge of our world.
Tomorrow beckons on the distant horizon,
Yet the waves persist in their eternal rhythm,
And we, beneath the ever-restless clouds,
Marvel at the imprinted sand beneath our feet.
Living and loving, we dance amidst the mist,
For I have learned the art of releasing heartache,
Of cleansing the pain from within jagged rocks.
The ocean becomes my guide to self-love,
Unyielding and mighty, it bathes me in its embrace,
Saltwater tears purify my heart,
As the rest of the world succumbs to floods.
When each breath becomes my sole anchor,
And the weight of the world becomes unbearable,
The ocean becomes my teacher,
Guiding me to love relentlessly,
No matter what life hurls my way.
And when storms rage, as storms always do,
I unleash the wildness of that love.
In the depths of the ocean, I discover my soul,
Glimpsing the essence of what truly matters.
The ocean, she cradles the life of every creature,
Nurturing them within her sacred womb,
Fiercely protecting, understanding their truth.
She predates my first breath,
And will outlast my final exhale.
The ocean imparts the fragility of each moment,
Revealing how reframing a second alters everything,
How a single breath can change our perspective.
We can ride the waves to the shores of serenity,
Or be swept under, tossed and turned, at its mercy.
What do I feel when I gaze upon the ocean?
I perceive eternity,
And comprehend how easily it can fade away.
Birds soaring through the mist,
