Oh the things one can do with an empty canvas
A piece of chalk
And a vivid imagination
With each stroke of this stick in my grip
Brings me one step closer to my desired destination
I may fall short of capturing the truth of your beauty
Only because im sketching this with my eyes close
But who knows your elegant curves any better than I do
I try’d to cheat and peek’d
That’s the reason for the one smudge
Please forgive me
I am looking to impress you
Now I know cutting corners
Will not get the proper job done
Do you remember striking this pose?
That special night?
And what we ate?
You being a big fan of lobster
Had a plate full
And I trying to bribe you for a little myself
Slicing you thin portions
Of my tasty peppered steak
Anyway..
I finally finished this work of art
How do you like?

Hey Bro. I'm a little confused (nothing new there then! ! ) Did you acutally draw/chalk this pic? That seemed to be the jist of the poem. If you did, and she's NOT impressed - well, I believe the legal term is 'justifiable homicide'. Can't really say much more about the poem until I'm clear on that (the title suggests a theme of transience which the poem itself doesn't explore if you see what I mean. But then if you really DID chalk that pic - the poem doesn't have to say much, does it! ) So fess up, homeboy! Have you got even MORE talent than you let on? smdh, hi5 Redzz

...there's the Red of ole... glad i can still bring him out.. first things first homeboy.. if i drew this picture with my eyes closed we need be talking bout how fucking fascinating and talented i am.. LMAO.. and you would have no choice but to agree.. buuuuuuuuut.. since im just common folk we can just talk about the rest and bore our readers a bit.. lol..
...in all seriousness bro.. my wife is the artist and i have been wanting to write on this pict of hers for sometime but could not meet its standard of quality as far as i was concerned.. this piece right here bro is a true life apology doubled as a riddle for my wife.. made my eye's well up.. (don't poke fun at me) but she past with flying colors..
...the date was maybe twelve years ago.. and the smudge fairly recent.. i falling short of the truth of her beauty due to the lack of trust that Papa allows that which desire without having to search for it.. 'i try'd to cheat and peek'd'.. i do best with my eye's closed in trust that He has me on the right path.. shiiiii.. bro i didn't realize how deep this poem was until i questioned the wifey about it.. smdh..
