Come Back With A Warrant

He thought I’d be safer underwater
he was right
even from his lofty height
wretchedness lives in plain sight
it’s always the ones with a lot to say that come and go don’t they
like wraiths in the night
trying to sell their
window love
and tunnel vision
inside this wall-less prison
there may be blood on the floor
but I am not Poe’s poor dead Lenore, so when sex & other atrocities come rap, rap, rapping
I don’t answer the door
and if the quasi half deads don’t like it…tough
I only have one voice in my head…mine, and that’s more than enough
