It's as simple as
I love you,
and yet it feels
like a conundrum,
a crossword
with answered questions
and no blank spaces,
so I fumble my way through,
but fail to convey,
yet again that
which should be simple.

So while you read this
I just want you to know,
that you are still the giant
who split mountains
and discovered something eternal,
even if it was left in your wake
