A Meet.
are you there
are you not
i am in despair
cling to hope you exist
for i cannot reason my being
for an eternal oblivion i cannot accept
i call out
close my eyes
open my eyes and you are there
decorated with jewelry and gold
grin spread like the waning crescent moon
"i am but just a veil of your fears,
you never needed me nor ever will."
is he good
or is he bad
i am confused
what appeared, wasn't what i'd thought out to be
i sought, assumed a benignant presence
not a repulsive superficial entity
a test of faith, maybe?
again i call out, earnestly sincerely,
close my eyes
open my eyes and you are there
resembling features but in a poverty stricken state
carefree gap-toothed giggle
"i am but what you made out to be,
you never needed me nor ever will."

for an eternal oblivion i cannot accept
