Finding Hope

Amid a visceral pain
knowing I am alive
transient discomfort
where I often thrive

Through evident struggles
a place I find strength
fighting vicious battles
going to any length

Always a survivor
despite the suffering
remaining in a state
of constant recovering

Grateful for wisdoms
not easily learned
while enduring the storms
my life has been earned

Invariably discovering
a better means to cope
as long as I keep trying
forever finding hope
