The last line is open to interpretation quite nicely.  There is definitely always hope, and sometimes, it can take quite a while for it to pull through.  I like the title, as it reminds me of rotten fruit that's thrown on the ground or something, or like a sort of spiritual decay.  Of course, it could be pertinent in that it's a reference of pressure.  Anyway, good job overall.  Thanks for sharing.
