writing journey~sorrow speaks

 
Sorrow explains herself
with a soft voice and gentle touch
long blonde hair and sunshine in my smile
a sunflower growing in the wild

Sadness looms behind my eyes
and if you provoke my hurt
you will meet Darkness
concealing her well unless Sadness feels threatened
Darkness is vicious with her tongue
precise and strategic once loose I can't control her temper

my hands are never raised in anger
in a past life I think I let it go to my heartbreak
so even when she is freed I maintain my control
letting her defend me and then reeling her in

it's treacherous going
I'm seen as the bad guy or evil
I've never hurt anyone but people sometimes fear me
not because I am bad ass but because of Darkness's essence
she intimidates even the biggest men without even saying a word
it is her presence

when she is around I am extremely anxious
just needing some breathing room
when she is tense everyone knows it

coming here I write to relieve this feeling
keeping things in check I record the journey
not writing to disturb but hide really
