Societies Mental Health
I'm the perfect image of societies health.
Outwardly I'm strong and fit, proud of myself.
I walk with head held high, show self confidence with my stride.
I make eye contact and stand straight. Society want's to look like me.
I'm the perfect image of mental disease, but I keep it inside where you can't see.
My body looks strong because it has to fight down my mind, I'm proud I haven't snapped.
I walk with head held high because I'm looking for fights, I'm confident I would win.
I make eye contact with an unspoken dare, anger me. Make me tick and I'll destroy you.
I'm the most dangerous type of damaged, my cracks are hidden from most.
You don't see the slashes running down my clothed thighs, you don't hear my outward sighs or inward screams.
I appear stable as I leave your view, but once I'm hidden from you the change begins and a mutilated being emerges.
