Dark souls
In the quiet of the evening, I watch couples stroll,
Longing for your touch, yearning for your soul.
The memories we shared, once vivid and bright,
Now seem like whispers, fading out of sight.
Your skin against mine, a symphony divine,
In our embrace, our hearts entwine.
I miss the passion, the heat we both knew,
The scent of your sweat, our love so true.
Through the car window, the air felt so pure,
As we drove together, our love secure.
I miss those moments, warm and serene,
With you by my side, life felt like a dream.
Am I foolish to still hold onto this flame?
Should I move on, and forget your name?
What if your love for me still remains strong?
Or am I just clinging to a love that's gone?
As I see wealthy couples, living lives so grand,
I wonder if I could ever take your hand,
And provide the luxury they seem to possess,
To make our love story one of success.
