What Matters
I may not have riches
Or a big fancy house
I don't have a flashy car
Or nice things you can live without
I don't have gifts or talents
Or wisdom I can share with anyone
I'm way past my prime
Not that I even ever had one
I don't have much in this world
Or anything I could even give
But I have everything in this world
Which are the reasons I live
My wife is so amazing
Supportive and always there for me
She is a blessing
And full of love unconditionally
She always brings me up
Whenever I am feeling down
She is that uplifting smile
That takes away my frown
She is a a dynamic bundle
Of love and happiness
She balances my wrecking ball
Of self inflicted chaos
An amazing mother
And a beautiful wife
And one of the two best things
I have in my life
And my son is the other
Cant believe he's a man already
Almost 25 years in age
He's focused and so steady
I am so proud of him
He's everything I never was
He would do anything
For anyone just because
He's all I could dream him to be
A perfect reflection of his mother
With an endless future of possibilities
He's unlike all others
He works very hard
But still follows his passion
He lives his life right
Which gives me satisfaction
A caring voice of reason
With a mind of strength
A heart of compassion
He would go any length
So I've hit the jackpot
I'm the luckiest man alive
All the other things I can go without
Because I have what matters to thrive
Or a big fancy house
I don't have a flashy car
Or nice things you can live without
I don't have gifts or talents
Or wisdom I can share with anyone
I'm way past my prime
Not that I even ever had one
I don't have much in this world
