A Mind Unraveling

At first it was
A lot like peeling back
The layers of an onion
Unspoken confessions revealed
Can it be an actual confession
If it isn't spoken out loud in words?

I lived and learned one
By one the many contradictions
Of my life's steadfast addictions
Medication to ease the pain
Of the likes of OCD and MDD
I've come so far
In my life's journey
On this road that I've been
T r a v e l l I n g

Still some days I swear
It seems my mind 's again
U n r a v e l I n g
