The Eclipse
The earth the moon the sun
Aligned in perfect harmony
When light becomes undone
This centuries old prophecy
A moment with the absence of light
And darkness overtakes us all
The middle of the day is night
Halting our life to a crawl
We stop moving and we stare
But don't look directly at the eclipse
We were warned to be aware
Blindness at our fingertips
What is the world hiding
Why are we not allowed to look
The rules we keep abiding
The thoughts we never shook
Programmed not to ask questions
We are already provided the answers
Provoked with simple suggestions
Brainwashed with thoughtless cancers
Finally it's safe for a moment
As we look at the corona
Praying for our atonement
A halo of the suns aroma
A brief moment where we are free
And a chance to escape the storms
But right after back to reality
As we tune out the sounding alarms
Back to our emotionless lives
Back to society where we're enslaved
An eternal eclipse were darkness thrives
Back to our my minds depraved
Aligned in perfect harmony
When light becomes undone
This centuries old prophecy
A moment with the absence of light
And darkness overtakes us all
The middle of the day is night
Halting our life to a crawl
We stop moving and we stare
But don't look directly at the eclipse
We were warned to be aware
Blindness at our fingertips
What is the world hiding
Why are we not allowed to look
The rules we keep abiding
The thoughts we never shook
Programmed not to ask questions
We are already provided the answers
Provoked with simple suggestions
Brainwashed with thoughtless cancers
Finally it's safe for a moment
As we look at the corona
Praying for our atonement
A halo of the suns aroma
A brief moment where we are free
And a chance to escape the storms
But right after back to reality
As we tune out the sounding alarms
Back to our emotionless lives
Back to society where we're enslaved
An eternal eclipse were darkness thrives
Back to our my minds depraved
