Words Becoming Flesh

March 18, 2024

His words still echo in the corners of my mind, "You are beautiful." Each syllable reverberated, causing a flutter in my heart. I knew he was married but his touch left me breathless. Surrendering to his embrace felt like falling into a dream where time ceased to exist and only our flesh was real.

Our betrayal of his wife and child was marked by the miracle of life blooming within me. I carry his essence, a tiny seed of new life taking root, growing with each passing day.

But what of her, this precious soul nestled within my womb? Will she inherit her father's eyes, his gentle touch? Will she feel the weight of his words, "You are beautiful," as they shape her existence? What emotions will she experience upon discovering that a few shallow words spoken in violation of vows caused her to be?

"You are beautiful." Such simple words to spark the creation of a new life.
