After Reading Ecclesiastes 3

Couched within life's trifling dance,
She longed for love and deep romance.
To revel in her body pure and bright,
She embraced each day and fucked each night.

She ate and drank with the hands of youth.
She said, Love this flesh, our source of truth.
For in the end, all great and small,
Humans and beasts alike shall fall.

One breath shared, no rank or station,
In this grand cosmic narration.
From dust we rise, to dust we set
Leaving only the children we might beget.

So let us seize each passing hour,
In joy and goodness, let us flower.
Since in the end, we’re pointless prose.

Then she spread her legs in love’s repose.

Author's Note
I wrote this after my lover read the third chapter of Ecclesiastes this morning. I followed her advice to "love this flesh." I think I'll enter this in Bring on the Dirty competition for fun.
