Here he stands,
Looking in my eyes.
He thinks he can read me,
He thinks I’m an open book.
Maybe it’d help if he knew my story,
Maybe he’d see there is more to me than a pretty face.
I’m deeper than the blonde hair lets on.
My story has its share of bumps and bruises,
And I’m proud I’ve powered on.
I’m a strong woman.
No matter what I’m going to make sure I’m on top.
I’m focused…
I’m always watching my own back
Cuz reality is – no one else is looking out for me.
