Next Dawning Sleep-with Grace

Tasting her innocence without a spoken word  
in a moment of undefined time  
like passion on paper spilling ink on sheets
kissing her fingertips as she arched her back  
like an artful song between damp sheets
surrendering to me her love
with no blurring words in the shadows of abstract  
sincerely into the next dawning sleep  
 
Colliding stars  bursts into fireworks
explosions of rainbow colours
sparkling behind closed eyelids
perfumed sheets soft as clouds
hands caress the fragrance of attar
submit to the pull to the peak
breath caught in the collision of air
submit to the buffeting storm
to fall gently in glorious wonder like confetti
