The man across the hall

Dear Father God In Heaven,  yes its only me again..  asking for forgiveness for I know that I have sinned.
I just need a moment , I don't mean to bother you.   I know your time is precious and you've more important things to do .
Lord I know you know that little man who lives across the hall...
He told me thats he resting while he's waiting for your call.
And that just touched my heart so deep , it was so sweet and sad.
And I think of all the many years that old man must have had.
Hes one of my favorites,  up there where my mom stays...
And I always stop and talk with him every single day...
But yesterday I didn't see him sitting in his chair , and I got pretty worried that he may not still be there.
But when at last he came to sit snd finally I did see .... you cannot know the joy I felt deep inside of me...
I asked him where hed been all day , and hoped his day was blessed.
And he said I'm waiting on the Lord so I just laid down to rest.
And u know that somehow made me sad.   Hes waiting there to die.
To go home to be with Jesus in that  Kingdom in the sky.
And that place is filled with others, just waiting there for you ....
Some of them with conscience minds while others have no clue.
So while it's a sad and lonely place for some whose minds are gone,
There's still others waiting there , to patiently move on .
And I know that that's just part of life...
Someday we all must go..
But God bless that man across the hall...
God bless his heart and soul.

I wrote this about the old man who lives across from my momma in the nursing home.  I've grown quite fond of him.
