SOULS CALLING
In the world of dreams one night,
I saw your shining light.
Roused in the wee hours' silent hush,
I embarked on this, an uncharted rush.
Yet, our destinies hadn't converged,
I pressed on, an eager soul submerged.
Down the road with no set guide,
Drifting through the contours of my mind.
After a prolonged drive, as the sun reached its noon,
I found solace in a roadside café's boon.
To my surprise, there you stood,
In the company of friends, smiling, as you should.
I approached with a greeting so sincere,
You glanced, acknowledging, yet not entirely near.
A test, I wondered, or perhaps a dream too bold,
In this mystery, my story began to unfold.
Returning to you, I shared my dream's play,
You chuckled, deeming it the best pick of the day.
Then I recounted the details, precise and clear,
A locket like a button, a blue dress, and ribbons at your hip so dear.
A moment of silence hung in the air,
As you questioned, "How do you know, declare?"
"I wore that dress a few days past,
In my brother's wedding, memories that last."
Did you sense something, that fateful day?
I inquired, my heart poised in gentle dismay.
You replied, "Witnessing their joy, love did sway,
I prayed for my own love, to come my way."
"Let's share a coffee," I proposed with delight,
Exploring together where our paths unite.
Thus unfolded our tale, a love story so true,
Inseparable, we became, just me and you.
One ponders the cosmos, its intricate design,
How love bends the rules, intertwining.
Yet, I believe in a calling profound,
Where hearts and souls, forever bound.
I saw your shining light.
